Abstract
This study evaluated the scientific evidence on technological solutions applied to drinking water supply in metropolitan cities. A systematic review was conducted under the PRISMA protocol, analyzing 21 articles indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and SciELO between 2022 and 2025. The results showed a predominance of digital technologies aimed at monitoring, distribution, and intelligent control of water networks, with improvements in operational efficiency and water quality. It is concluded that technological innovation strengthens urban water management, although its sustainable implementation requires adequate institutional capacities and public policies.
