Resumen
La gobernanza del agua constituye un componente estratégico para la sostenibilidad hídrica en comunidades rurales con disponibilidad limitada del recurso. El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la relación entre la gobernanza del agua y el uso sostenible del recurso hídrico. Por tanto, se trata de una investigación cuantitativa, no experimental, transversal y correlacional, con 60 participantes seleccionados mediante muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Se aplicaron cuestionarios estructurados y se utilizó el coeficiente Rho de Spearman para el análisis inferencial. Predominó un nivel alto de gobernanza del agua (51,7 %), mientras que el uso sostenible se concentró principalmente en el nivel medio (56,7 %). Se identificó una asociación positiva y significativa entre ambas variables (ρ = 0,640; p < 0,001), destacando el compromiso y la eficacia. Los hallazgos evidencian la importancia de fortalecer la participación, la coordinación y la eficiencia de la gestión comunitaria para favorecer prácticas sostenibles de conservación y aprovechamiento del agua.
