Abstract
Hospital research management constitutes a strategic component for strengthening innovation, knowledge transfer, and quality of care in health systems. This study aimed to systematize the main limitations, good practices, and theoretical approaches related to research management in hospitals through a systematic review based on the PRISMA protocol. The results revealed barriers associated with insufficient funding, organizational weaknesses, and technological limitations, as well as successful strategies linked to institutional leadership, continuous training, and process digitalization. It is concluded that hospital research effectiveness depends on integrated approaches to governance, collaboration, and scientific innovation.
