Abstract
The research aimed to analyze quality-related problems in family medicine services in hospitals across Latin America. A systematic literature review was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, with searches in indexed databases (Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, and SciELO), resulting in the selection of 21 studies published between 2020 and 2024. The findings revealed recurrent deficiencies related to human resources, fragmentation of care, healthcare workload, and limited quality assessment. It is concluded that strengthening training in family medicine, the use of quality indicators, and the implementation of person-centered models are essential to achieve sustained improvements in hospital services throughout the region
