Abstract
The Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have penetrated strongly in the educational field, especially through the LMS platforms like Moodle that allows to develop metacursos adjusted to the curriculum and the interests of the participants. Moodle's innovative resources highlight the construction of dynamic and colorful virtual classrooms centered on the educational metaphor, which gives greater corporeity and presence to the virtual environment, as well as offering a different working scheme by transforming the class into a role-play, where the teacher and students develop activities based on missions, prizes or challenges typical of the metaphor used. This new methodological approach helps to transcend the traditional paradigm, where the teacher is the main source of information and transmitter of knowledge to become a collaborator and co-participant, and where students cease to be information receivers and actively participate in the Building their learning. This article describes the technical characteristics and didactic use of virtual environments centered on educational metaphorics in order to provide orientations and present elements to consider when designing, designing and constructing a virtual metaphorical classroom based on the PACIE methodology.
