Abstract

Psychomotor skills in childhood are of great importance for children's academic and socio-affective development and are part of a need for development in daily life. In this work, a psychomotor program in 5-year-old children has been analyzed and tested to evaluate its effectiveness in their social performance. To this end, we have worked with a control group and an experimental group, each with 16 students, being able to confirm that the control group, with traditional and classic attendance, achieved an average level in the evaluation, while the experimental group, which used the program, managed to reach a high level. These findings show that early childhood education requires special attention to psychomotor development and that a program according to this need can contribute significantly. That permanent evaluation is necessary to achieve the objectives.
