Abstract

In this work, an analysis of the use of digital tools to improve reading comprehension has been carried out, specifically the Canva tool has been analyzed, which is a very versatile software that allows creativity, the management of figures, colors, and the realization of different types of graphic presentations. For this work, a control group was used to apply a classic methodology with the use of notes, blackboard and master explanations, and an experimental group to which the Canva tool was applied as a methodological strategy. Both groups were made up of 25 students. The main results revealed that the use of digital platforms contributes significantly to reading comprehension, however, it is important to highlight that it should be a complement in the classroom and not a substitute, since training must be comprehensive.
