Abstract

The present work focuses on examining, through quantitative analysis, the correlation that exists between low productivity and inadequate work generated by MiPymes, the objective is to locate the possibilities that this group of companies has to increase the capacity to generate quality jobs if labor productivity is increased. The study is oriented towards the sector of agriculture and wholesale and retail trade, sectors of the economy where MiPymes are preponderant in generating employment and their production is intensive in unskilled labor. The results prove that during the period 2014 - 2021 the average productivity of these two sectors is lower than the average of the national economy, the conclusion is that to improve the quality of employment in MiPymes it is essential to raise productivity levels.
