Abstract

The Class_Analytics tool is software that allows analyzing human emotions based on the detection of faces and the assessment of their physiognomy. Emotion detection is a recent topic that could facilitate the understanding of attitudes in the classroom and in turn contribute to improvements in the teaching process. In this work the possibility of using this tool for use in higher education was analyzed, in order to examine the behavior of professionals and students of the degree in Teleinformatics Engineering. Previous studies have shown that in the new times there is an important tendency to get bored or uncomfortable in the classes, often because it is not the appropriate career or because they are not the appropriate teaching methods. The most outstanding results of the research were that it is necessary to delve into issues of learning styles based on the assessment of the state of mind of those involved.
